Almonds, Almonds, Music, and Music

I guess my posting schedule is still a little slow. I do want to pick it up!

Somebody recently recommended I try almond milk. I bought some this week, and -- John Wilkes Booth's miserable bones! It's HEAVENLY.
If you have never tried it, you should.
Speaking of almonds, I recently learned that my sister is afraid of them... because of potassium cyanide. I think this is pretty much the greatest thing. I don't know. It's hilarious; it just is.

So much great music has been put out this year. It's almost too much. Well, I haven't been able to buy all of it yet, so I guess that does count as too much -- at least for me.
When we get closer to the end of 2011, I'll probably write it all up. I'm so happy to have all this great content to listen to -- I think God uses these things, so I don't have trouble saying it has really helped save this year for me (if you haven't been able to tell, things have been rough).

On the subject of music:
I'm no longer pretending I'm not working on Ever Toward a Better Yesterday's second album. It's going well, and I'm very excited about it. I won't lie, A Skirmish in the Manner of Canines takes a backseat to this new album sometimes... but I think it's better for ASitMoC in the end, really, because if I don't preserve my interest in it, things are going to crawl anyway. I do have a sizeable handful of content I have not yet sent to Tobias (if you're reading this, and you're ready for it, feel free to bug me about it, and I'll send it along).
It's also worth noting that I've had some rough weeks at my pay-the-bills job -- the music is easier to work on in short bits of time, and it's also easier to find motivation after a stressful day, since there's money in it; "If I keep this up, I can quit my job!" etc.

It's still a bit too early to provide too many details about what you should expect from the new album. I've made a pretty good piece of progress so far, but I still have some decisions to make as to the final content for the album. Once I have those figured out, I'll probably say a little about what the album will contain and announce its title (which has already been decided, but is not being disclosed yet).
